what would you get new/used for 100k?
This is in the z4 general section because I respect your opinions over the rest of the bimmer sub forums
So if you had up to 120k to spend for a weekend garage queen, what would you get? here are some of my choices f430 ford GT Gallardo spyder porsche gt2/3 r8 v10 or twin turbo v8 My favorite would be the GT so far

Yep. For a weekend warrior, the Ford GT. I'm not a Ford fan, but no one could argue with that decision. If you were driving it a lot more, my choice would be gt2.
F430 is done, the Gallardo Spyder I'd pass on b/c i'd opt for the Murcialago (man's car), Audi (numb). |

From your list my top choices would be Porsche or an F430, however every time Ferrari brings out a new model it feels as if the previous one dies off, not that it isn't an amazing car.

$120k would be my down payment on a Ferrari 458 Italia. I want class and one of the the best looking cars out there. I could give a shit about how fast it goes at this point. Done and done.
There is a local Lamborghini Murci going for $115k here so I would go for that and wheels.

Ariel Atom 500 (it's 160k). If it's a weekend car I'd get the fastest thing on the road, and this beats pretty much everything out there, perfect track car.

I'd get 3 Ariel Atoms, 1 for me, 2 for friends. That would be much more fun than any single car for 120k.

Haha. Good point. But I'd rather get some BMW 1000rr's and really have some fun

I guess it's about whatever brings you joy. And getting off on the track after wrestling a beast into submission and after many near death experiences would bring a pretty big smile on my face
But I see your point and I had no idea the murcielagos were that affordable. But unfortunately I wouldn't be able to afford the $30k maintenance at 30k miles and everything in between. And my wife would kill me if I put 120k down to have a 3k dollar payment. I would lease a 458 though. Last time my buddy leased a 430 he put 25k down and 1700 a month. Then I would feel obligated to drive the shit out of it. Quote:

I'd keep my Z4M coupe, upgrade to the ESS VT2, upgrade the suspension ,upgrade to BBK , upgrade track tires and wheels
and spend the remainder on visiting as many tracks as possible - with this set-up the exotics will be very surprised at what is leaving them behind |

gt3rs. not sure if that's in the price point but i intend to buy one. If you just wanted a panty dropper i would go with the GT. Thats in the class of super exotic compared to others even though they might be better preforming, plus im sure the maintenance
would be a drop in the bucket compared to some of the other choices. |

I'm amending my list to include a Lotus 2-11.
What is the hypothetical intended use for the car, track, mountain blasts, cruising with a date? That is really the most important question that we all seem to have ignored.

but that aside, track and canyon runs...I'll always have a decent daily for the wife/family... It's all for fun until my deal goes through on my investment within the next year, hopefully for my 30th birthday present

There you go. I am in my 30's now and speed is not my priority anymore. I have so many other things I look at in a car now aside from straight speed. Yup $20k+ down and like $1500 a month. lol Yeah I just was applying for the Murci but its like $1300 a month with a bunch down. I can't justify spending over $500 a month now. lol I know I am cheap but don't want to obligate anything more. Is it me or does this Lambo Murci interior look cheap? Here is one of the Lambos I was talking about. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/ctd/2504549094.html

After I started tracking, I told myself that I wouldn't buy another weekend car unless I had some track time in it, whether it be in the drivers or passenger seat. I guess I'll start looking there if anywhere, and maybe signup on the make a wish foundation to get a free ride Quote:
how do you like your nsx BTW? Post your pics up, that's always a classic
