5 Speed E85 Gearbox Swop to E86 6 Spped?

Can anyone tell me if I can swop a 2003 E85 Z4 Gearbox with a 6 Speed E86 without any modifications.
Basically want to know if I can unbolt the one and replace it with the other.
Not very mechanically minded so any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks Guys.

my old e86 3.0si (N52) and a friend's e46 zhp (M54) both have the GS6-37BZ 6-speed trans. i would imagine that as long as you have an M54, it should be just fine. i'm sure you'll need other stuff though... linkage, mounts, slave cyl, or maybe even a different driveshaft...?

it's likely you won't know what you need until you actually go to do it.

Thanks for the feedback. Going to keep doing my homework just to make sure.
Would love to have a six speed in this car.

Look on RealOEM and compare part numbers. The ones that are different will need modification or changing.

Thanks for the help Pokey. Doesn't look like a quick fix for me and nothing short of an expensive undertaking. Thanks Again.
