While the non-intercooled (stage 1) twin screw setup can be upgraded to the intercooled (stage 2) setup, it's expensive and requires removal of the unit to have Laminova cores ("cooling units") added. The cost of the cores alone is more than the price difference between stage 1 and stage 2. ESS spent a lot of money developing the cooling system and overall package, and you'd be missing the benefits with the stage 1. Free bump OP. Can't believe no one has bought this yet!

Heck for sale on this forum a 21k Mcoupe and this 5k ESS kit and you have one killer machine for under 28k
