ZHP Knob + Shifter? 335d/E60?
Searched and didn't find anything.
On the E46M, the ZHP is also a popular knob replacement. It's frequently used with an E60 (545i IIRC, also the same piece Dinan uses in their kit) or a 335d shifter (both are just the lever, not the linkage) which helps lower it a bit more (not sure if there is any effect beyond height). Has anyone used these on the ZF? Do they fit? |

Knob fits just fine and is perfect IMHO, no idea on the shifter though.

Agreed, it wouldn't be for just the lowering. I am trying to search on M3F if there is any other benefit from the shifter. The bushing is a different material which can effect shifting feel. If height is the only change, then pass.

My curiosity would be if the ZHP selector rod would work, would that mean the BMW performance shifter (~20% shofter shifts) would also fit/work?
I don't want that UUC POS.

I have not read about the ZHP selector rod on either this forum or M3F, only the 335d (which I presume is not the same as the 330i ZHP). Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Compared to the M3 selector (which is probably different than the ZF's, so moot), the 335d is about 30% shorter, whereas the 545i (and Dinan, same part) is 40% shorter. |
