Why is the door and side skirt a different color? Looks like the car is titanium silver and the door and skirt is silver grey

I think it may be the light and shadow of the photo shoot. We took the shots at sunset. Car is Titanium Silver - one color for sure.

i would make sure there isnt any hidden damage you are not aware of. this is not from lighting. adding photos of the otherside of the vehicle would be good too.

I had repair work done on a old 3 series of mine one time. Repaint, in sunlight, was an exact match. under those yellow phosphorus lights in parking lots and streets, you could very easily see a color mismatch.

This one is pretty weird - definitely, from these and the pictures on the site, looks like a different color on the door. OP should get some different lighting for picts...

I will get some shots of the other side - and will also validate no prior paint work. And thanks for the paint code correction - it is Titanium Silver.
I've owned the car for over 2 years and there is absolutely no evidence of prior paint work when you examine the car in person. I really do believe that the differences seen are lighting and shadows, however if I find any evidence to the contrary I will update the post. I do my level best to represent my cars with 100% accuracy and honesty.

kinda looks like the door and skirt are TiGrey, but the rest is TiAg. the door handle looks TiAg as well.
the bright side is that the open door pic shows that the structure is TiAg...

After a more detailed inspection, including ordering a paint meter and taking measurements, I have confirmed there has been prior paint work done to the car. I have taken a number of new photos in various light conditions to try to show the car as accurately as possible. I have also revised my post and listings, and reduced the price. I am happy to answer any further questions on the car, as well as make the car available for pre-sale inspection.

Glad you did the research and you are being honest about it. I can't believe you didn't notice the obvious paint difference in 2 years of ownership though.

Believe it! I know that it jumps out in some of the pictures - but in person it is not noticeable. My wife (it was her car) and my son (who is 22) were both shocked as well. All I can say is come see for yourself.

That explains it. I swapped out my front bumper to an M bumper and my wife couldn't even tell the difference. I changed my seats to the M sports seats and still, my wife could not tell the difference. So I can understand how your wife couldn't tell the difference in color. Your son must take after your wife.

Free bump.

Yes - that is how I was able to determine that paint work had been done to the car. Let me know if there are any specific readings that you need.

Did we ever figure out WHY the door is a different color?

Unfortunately, I don't have any information on why the paint work was done. As I have stated in prior posts, there is no accident history on the car, and I bought it from a dealer, so I don't have any way of contacting prior owners to find out any more information. I have had a reputable euro speciality paint and body shop that I have worked with for many years look at it. This shop is a Glasurit authorized dealer, and his opinion was that the color was fading at a different rate then the factory color.

FWIW - he quoted me $1350 to do a glass out color match respray of the front and rear fenders, rocker trim and door.
