04 E85 17s or 18s? because rubbing

Right now I love the fitment on my stock base model Z4. I just have Apex Arc 8s on them 17x9 255/40/17. I only rub in the front if im pushing hard on corners and daily driving I never rub even bumps or on freeways. I do like the 255/40 tire size and this wheel is interchangeable with my E90s. I use Hankook RS4s right now but will going to like Vredsteins or other tire brand help out in the same size? Or should I go up my 18x8.5 Arc 8s and 245/35/18 front but maybe harsher ride quality?
