2003 z4 key fob

good moring. just bought a 2003 z4 convertable. the key fob i have has the center button with the bmw logo and 1 button above and 1 below. they don't seem to do anything. can these be programed to do anything. i am hoping for at least the roof up and down. thanks

Battery is probably dead. They charge through the ignition switch while driving and don’t last forever. The roundel bmw logo on the key is lock, unlock is towards ignition side and trunk unlock is key ring side.

as a side note if you put the key in the door lock turn and hold in the unlock position the top will go down and windows half way as well. Turn and hold in lock position and top goes up.

You can also program the car so that holding the lock/unlock buttons down will close/open the roof. Have fun!

This guy does key fob batteries. He did my gm-5. Send him an email but, he so busy that it may take 5 or so days for him to respond. good guy, good work, great turnaround and not costly.
