Any year have black pull handles???

I have seen them in pictures here before - are those all after market pieces I guess, or just a year I have not checked yet? Talking about the outer cover that is chrome/nickel on most, but I have seen black ones before. I found them aftermarket, but I was hoping some year used them as OEM.

Maybe not???

My car has them but it is a 2007. They're not aftermarket.

I have a later year 2008 and it still has the silver.

Not sure what determined whether you got black or silver.

I just went and checked 2007 and same thing - it list L and R and chrome and w/o chrome.

What model is your car Phishman? 2.5, 3.0, M, etc?

Right under his username and profile picture on the left it shows that he drives a 2007 M Coupe.

I have the same IR-MR, but 2007 - silver. I like the match with the dash guage trim.

2007 ///M Coupé  [10.00]
All ///M's, roadster and coupe, came with the silver ones standard in the USA.

Non-///M roadsters were standard black, with an option for silver (sales code = S345A).

All non-///M coupes came with S345A standard in the USA.

So how did Phishman's come with the black then if he has a M? Weird that like 99% of them have the silver if it is an option. So maybe the "chrome" ones listed are the solver and the w/o chrome ones are the black then???

Are there any companies that sell leather covered handles? My car has the Imola Red leather and the wood trim, and the plasticky silver handle looks awful with that combination.

I thought leatherz had something like this, but on checking their website today it looks like they either discontinued it or never had it...

Along with the silver that's all over, I think there was also chrome line option that looks similar but has more of a shine to it.

Leatherz still sells the leather covered door pulls. A lot of options and I can say the black leather matches perfectly. For removal and installation Bavsound (BSW) has YouTube vids on the E85/86 that are rather detailed. Sorry about pic quality, I don't have Dubsesd's skills

I saw those and thought they might be a nice option, but I worried about the wrap making them hard to stay on. These can be a little tricky to get on perfectly anyway. That makes me feel better that they seem to fit nice. I am just trying to do the black contrasting with the tan door card look and the metal kind of clashes. I thought the OEM ones would be a safer bet, but I sure am having a hard time figuring out how to order them!

I got their leather elbow door rests in black - look great and were a good buy in my opinion. They are nice and comfortable on my boney joints and fit nicely with the interior. These door pulls look great too. Makes me think they would be worth a try after seeing installed pics.

I ordered both and will see how they look with my black & tan project. Will post pictures once I have them installed.
