Gas gauge moves fast from full

I am thinking that these cars have a gas tank shaped like a pyramid. Skinny up top, because it sure moves off of full pretty quik. Does anyone elses?

mine does the opposite. seems to take a while to get off of full, then drops more rapidly.

i had a tt previously, the fuel gauge was notorious for being basically an interior decoration and nothing more. so many stupid problems with that car...
