Spacers Installed
Always liked the rear 1/4 shots on the M cars with the fatter stance. I ordered some 20mm spacers for the rear and 15mm for the front. Luckily the 20mm were backordered and I got the 15mm first. I put them on the front and they were just too much for my taste. They leveled the wheels out nicely, but from the front they just showed too much tire for me.
Moved them to the back and they looked perfect to me. Going to run with it like that for now and maybe add some thinner ones up front if I think it needs it. I like the way it looks right now myself. Anyway, thought I'd share. Before: After:

A little more wouldn't hurt though. I feel like there's still some room to push

God those pictures look awful not that I see them on a big screen!
No, I kicked myself for not taking that picture with them on the front. They did fit pretty flush, but when I look from the front, there was just too much tire showing for my taste. Looked like the steering wheel was turned that way. The lower portion of the front bumper curves in and make that look even worse - again in my opinion. From the side and from the rear, they looked fine. I kind of like that staggered look though, so that's just me. I think the 20mm would be fine as well, but once these are installed you can not return them and I think the 15's look great. I think I might like 10 on the front, but I will sit on it for a few days and see what I decide. If I do some more moving around, I will take some pics.

Well, regardless, the rear looks great. Looks like you might be able to fit a little more in the back. What do you think? I also have a Z4 2.5i and I'm thinking about spacers. The stock wheels make the car look like Luke Skywalker's hovercraft...

Yes- I think the 20mm would fit easily. I measured before I ordered and the 20mm would still keep the tire under the lip in the rear. I think 20mm would be great, but since I did not like the 15's on the front and I own them now, I just did not see the point in still getting the 20mm for .19685" more outward move. Luckily the 20mm were on back order for another week, so I got the chance to cancel them.
I got the Turner spacers as recommended to me on here along with the longer bolts they recommended. Warning - the ones they sent me lightly touched the brake shield on the back side once I mounted them and spun the wheel. Probably an easy mod, but make sure and check when you install before you drop and roll. They fit fine on the back and clear everything. Spacers seem to be nice quality and customer service was top notch. I would recommend Samantha Marasca if you do not already have a rep there - very responsive and helpful. I am happy with them so far for sure.

I was thinking 10mm, but that requires some extra pieces for the hub. 10mm would probably fit my taste better though I think.

OK - good to know. I was thinking their site said anything under 12mm needed the hub extenders, but I already had my head set on 15, so I probably did not read too well.

Pic Request
Sure - do any of these work for you? Excuse the dusty car. The 15mm is perfect to me, but if you like a totally flush look, I think the 20mm would be perfect. I don't like too much tire showing under the 1/2 way mark, but I do not think 20mm would stick out at the top.

thanks!! nice drive! i also think that 20mm would not stick out at the top, so i will go for the 20īs. and for the front, do you think the 12īs are a good choice, or maybe 15 to match the 20īs? |

Wow, if that is with no spacers at all, 20 mm might be too much. If you look at the "before" of mine up above, you will see that mine were under the car more to start with.
Good way to judge would be to put a straight edge from top to bottom on the tire/wheel (whatever it rests on) and then measure from the back edge out to see where 20mm would be. That is .80 inches, so it is more than you think. Measure first as many can not be returned after they are installed.

New Spacers Installed
Again - sorry for the crappy pics. I even used a camera this time and not my cell and they still turned out like crap. Combo of no flash and handheld just is not cutting it. SORRY
And also for the filthy shed - I always do work like this in the shed so I have room to spread out and have air. Car is filthy too - came back through a mast migration of bugs 2 nights ago - it will be washed up tomorrow. Some asked what the 15mm looked like in the front. After I lowered the car I though they needed to come out again and went back to my original plan of 20mm in the back and 15mm in the front. I also put in new front end links while I was in there as I noticed one looked bad while I was putting on new shocks. It was as you can see below. At least that damn pic came out....SMH Anyway - here are some the way it is above - 15m in the rear and no spacer up front only this is after it was dropped on H&R's. Now these are with the 20mm in the back and still nothing up front. Now these are with the 20mm in the back and 15mm in the front. With the car lowered, I like them much better up front. I am happy with it. God those pics are terrible, but I think you get the idea. I will snap some more when I get her washed up in the daylight so you can see the angles better. Anyway - for those that wanted to see the 15mm in the front - there they are. Could go more for sure for those that like them to hang out a tad, but I prefer them to stay tucked under and this fits about perfect to me.

I tried 15s on the fronts on my car and also felt it was a bit too much. I thing 12.5s look perfect, I think Turner has them. And 12.5s don't need hub extenders.

I was the same and moved them to the back. But after I lowered it the front tucked even further into the wheel well. Now I think the 15's are fine. At lunch I was just thinking even a touch more would not hurt........lol
