Sounds like something else, man, that thing was beefy. Did they have a max rating for it?

Yeah, forgot you had to replace that as well; the OEM bearing must count on some amount of slop, which you've taken care of with the other mods.

oem rubber on these cars is retaredly stupid and prone to failure.
whats worse is due to the rare nature of the car we cant get awesome aftermarket parts for the little things like this because our production numbers are waaay under 10k units on the planet |

Your issues really don't sound like a Guibo or support bearing related.
Sounds to me like either driveline misalignment or excessive diff (tranny)movement. I can understand that the Guibo and Bearing may fatigue in time, but the fact that your support bearing failed so quickly mean there is a lot of driveshaft movement. I would check the angle of the Tranny vs. Driveshaft and make sure you diff/ diff carrier don't have any excessive play. |

i think the stock guibo is awesome after everything ive tried....hanger bearing on the D/S.....not so much....i will be sending off a perfectly new D/S hanger bearing so that it may be duplicated in such a manner where all the rubber pieces that BMW provides us can be reverse "iron manned" into polyurethane

I have a similar (5L40E) transmission with exactly the same output flange, that I'm swapping into an old Tr4, and I just don't understand how the flex disc attaches!!! The output flange is a shallow circular cup with 6 tapped holes, just like in your photos. But the flex disc only attaches using 3 bolts on each side. The yoke on the drive shaft side has 3 legs and 3 bolts. How does the flex disc attach to the transmission flange? I know this must sound stupid, but what am I missing?

I missed the fix - So in the end was it just a new clutch and lots of enthusiasm?
