Exhaust Tip Size

So in the future I'm going to be installing a new exhaust. This will all be custom work. I was wanting to add some better exhaust tips, however I don't know a good size.

Can I fit 3" tips out of the cutout?

Should fit perfectly. Are you doing anything else to your exhaust?

Hahaha I actually went to a muffler guy for my car. Our z4 the non-M version is very different underneath compared to the Z4M. We have 2.5 in exhaust running straight through. Not sure for your year but what I did was a 2.5 where the cat is and extended the diameter to a 3 inch and a 3.5 inch blast pipe. My car is basically loud at all times. I deleted muffler and both the resonators. Full on stock exhaust I started to notice a burble and popping on down shifts when it was stock still. Had the car for a year and noticed it recently. Not sure if its because before the car was shitty and I took a hit on repairs...about $2,300 of fancy repairs and after that, I started to notice the burble so I went ahead and did a straight pipe and I now set off alarms like no other. Its very nice to be honest

Garage List
I have dual 3" tips with total width or 6.5" when you factor space in between. They sit just right...
