AFE Intake, RPI Scoop, and Stromung Exhaust.

I can not be happier with any of the products. Install was incredibly easy on all of them. All bolted in just as they should. That being said, I got to play around with each individually.

The exhaust alone does exactly what a set of cans should do: make the car sound better. I find the sound to be perfect. Nice and deep down low and it carries nicely to the top end. It doesn't drown out the S54 up top at all. It is loud enough, but not overwhelming. Downshifts/blips are incredible!

The intake itself sounds incredible too. Adds a little bark and it just sounds like the engine is sucking air in. I drove the car for about 30 minutes and the difference is there. Without adapting fully you can still feel a nice little bump in power. The best addition the intake made was the throttle. It is more responsive and downshifts are easier and more comfortable.

The scoop really brought it to life though. I wish I could have tested the scoop with the stock airbox, but either way I am glad to have the intake. The car idles perfect and sounds incredible with the combination of these additions. There is definitely no loss of power! My nephews 335i with JB2 and intake used to run dead even (+/- half a car), now I pull a good car or more on him. I can't wait until my car fully adapts!

Did you recently buy the Stromung? Just curious if they're still making them and the cost.

Soon i am going to be buying an exhaust (within a month or two) and i am interested in the stromung exhaust. Maybe we can organize a group buy in a month or so and contact STROMUNG to see what they say.

Does not seem so; not to me anyways. Like you said, it can only help utilize the full potential of the mods.

I plan on doing headers and ESS Software ASAP. I want to do the gearset as well. Diffsonline sells them right? I think they only sell the gearset right? How much would it be to install it in my diff (average)? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to ask in your thread,
does anyone know what the top speed per gear becomes with the 4.1 diff ?
The gears are way too long for the moutain runs we do so id like shorter gears.

Go to bimmerfest and

I've seen the calculators there, but I don't remember where they are, and I never remember to bookmark anything.
