Ok enough derailing this thread.

mousitch: bud light? Is that what the mechanics are drinking these days?
I assume. They don't look like they drink Guinness. But ya never know. ++Blackstone rocks. Use them on every change. have around eight sample bottles here.

In the past I've covered the bases with Samuel Adams samplers. Pretty much everything there from very light "lawnmower" side of the spectrum to darker more "Guinness" side of the spectrum.

That sounds like a plan.

ugh - and I come home to this thread now, after 15 mins ago I just dropped mine off at the dealership for its final 'end-of-warranty' check over and to have a few small things taken car of (ie: missing rear sway bar bracket). To make it even worse, I just defected from my old dearlership of 7 years - to go to this other one tonight. My old one just kept screwing things up once too many times IMO, and this one came highly recommended.

This is all the more reason to not extend my warranty or maint program, and just go Indy all the way. Finn, I need to try the beer trick but its too late tonight. will save it for my new favorite Indy. And drink one now.

mousitch - glad to hear you fared well. Any verdict on that stereo or amp you mentioned?

Said it sounded normal and the the settings made it sound bad. I just agreed and we all will fix it...

I think mine had one at one time, but after the El Diablo install I can't find the darn thing.

yeeaaa i hear ya - funny cuz my amp is currently out of the car, no stereo the past week, and i'm loving it that way. I wont pretend to be all 'anti-radio' though. It does come in handy-when my wife is in the passenger seat for example, and now it goes even louder .

If there is a stereo in our cars and the amp is blown, I'd want BMW NA to swing the bill.

I trust my local dealer whole-heartedly, here in Indianapolis. Since I work for Klipsch, and in lieu of micro brew, I've been known to drop off a pair of in-ear headphones on occasion. I do something unique for them because I can, and they take care of my baby. My trusted tech, Jason, is great.

Well, seems that it was not inspection 1 that it went in for, instead it was a regular oil/filter cabin filter change. I have about 21k on the car, he says that the valve adjustments don't kick in until 28 to 30k.

The Dealer i took it to is very good, has great reviews and even though it is completely out of my way (Mt. Kisco) , I rather take it there than to the ones closer to me. Too arrogant at the Darien and Greenwich dealerships.

Now, I have an indy shop in Stamford (AutoTech )that takes care of my interval oil changes and my land rover and I trust those guys, so I will give them a shout and see if the can take a once over on roadster sometime early next week.

No idea, but they specialize in BMW and Mercs... Once I get the car in for that once over I will ask

Iirc, only BMW is allowed to do warranty work. I talked to an Indy before I had my valves adjusted and he said he couldn't do warranty work.

I took the dealership, mainly service, Begals right before Christmas. Also helps for almost everyone to know your name :-)

With three in the family now, they just know me.

indeed. I was on this same course, and I feel like they have gotten to know me so well the past few years, service has actually slipped now. Perhaps I am just too nice.

Just dropped off a 12 pack Boulevard sampler and a six pack Of Boulevard Single Wide IPA. They seemed very appreciative. Boulevard is a KC microbrew in the midwest. Only four techs and the SA,SM. So thats three a piece.
