How does your car sound ?

I'm beginning my search for an aftermarket exhaust on my M Coupe.

I want it to be raspy, throaty and on the loud side.

I used to own a Dixis Spirit titanium exhaust on my E46 M3 and I really liked the scream it made. It was an high-pitched, exotic sound.

I don't want the car to sound like a G35/350Z and I wanna keep OEM headers.

What is my best options out there ?

I have the stromung and think it may be to quiet for him especially if he is looking for loud and raspy. That's 2 things the stromung isn't. My friend has rpi on his roadster and it's loud. Raspy especially at higher rpm's. It may vibrate some interior plastics at highway speeds because of drone though, at least in a coupe

Supersprint Race, definitely on the raspy side.

As for mine, it sounds like this:

Here's mine

It's a Eisenmann Rear Muffler, and the first dampner behind the cattalist is replaced with a straight pipe.

Too long to install and not worth it in my case.

I also have the stromung and it will definitely not fit the bill. I personally love the sound, but then again I am not into loud or raspy exhausts.

I have a friend that has the RPI's and they are loud and raspy

RPi is probably your best bet for loud raspy and throaty. Or magnaflows with headers

All show, no go!

Because racecar..............sounds!!! Just kidding Seb

On a serious note, is there going to be a big difference after I put the CSL headers with the BMS X-pipe and mufflers? I already think it's too loud for me...

I am looking for something lightweight but want less noise as possible. Don't want to put OEM back on the car. Are the Stromung or Rogue El diablo would be better than my BMS in that case?

It's got a passion in its pistons and it aint afraid to show it, show it show it... It sounds amazing and you know it! It revs up!

I am partial to resonated aeroturbines, I do not care what kind of car it is it always sounds great. I want someone to kit my exhaust setup as it is a cheaper and easier alternative than most aftermarket. If I can find someone local I can kit it out for cost and shipping... Complete header back near to sub 1k...

Les header ne sont pas ma priorité sur la liste de chose a faire. Surtout que headers + rpi ca va etre problématique lol. Je suis sur le cas des roues la....

Forget the El Diablo. If you want less noise, that's not the way to go! Maybe Remus or Stromung, or Eisenmann Sport. Wait until after Exhaust 'Fest.

I'm surprised more folks haven't gone this direction. I believe the drone factor is significantly lower than the other DIY/build option (Magnaflow).
