What racing seats would look good in the Z?

Suggestions and pictures are welcome!

Recaro Sporster CS! It's the seat that the BMW Performance seats are made from, so you know they look good in BMW's!

Good call on the status seats. I think oem leather lotus exige seats would work too, at about 12lbs, but hard to find

I was unaware of Status. They look pretty nice. Anyone know a resource for weights on the FRP vs CF?

The Lotus ProBax seats looks awesome but don't seems to offer a lot of support.

the ones I've sat in, we supportive enough. I'm 6'1, 165lbs. Maybe you should try them out? They're better than stock Elise seats

I've tried a LOT of race seats (Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Status, Momo, ...) and the Pole Position were the most comfortable for me by far! But seats are like shoes, you will need to try them yourself for a long ride (not 2 minutes in a store) to make an opinion.

The Recaro PP is the most popular race seat with the E46 M3 crowd. I love them for their comfort. However, the don't fit me well in race application because the holes for the shoulder belts are too small and too low for me (I'm 6'2'') and don't give enough legs support. But for a mix of street and track, they are the best for me. Comfortable enough for 3-4 hours rides, daily driving and track days.

Exact. Like the OEM M seats in the E85/E86 M, some like others don't.

+1 on PP's... after finding the right angle, I find them to be extremely comfortable and supportive. It's perfect for track and street. If I was driving a dedicated track car, I'd change the seat with more head protection but no way you could drive that on street.

My lower back would give out with the oem m-sport seats for any drive more than 3+ hrs, or after a day on the track. Not the case with my PP's.

I bought 2 Status Ring GT in CF yesterday with sliders and 1 set of side mount from a friend. Still not sure if I will put one or both in the car this summer. I might even sell them if I can find 2 Black Recaro PP in leather/suede for a decent price.

They retail at $1300 each seat without hardware.

Weight is 15Lbs each!

If someone wants them, I can sell them also. I am looking for $1800 shipped for 2x seats, 2x sliders, 1x side mount. I can also sell one seat with slider and side mount for $1000 shipped.
