APEX ARC-8's Mounted (GB#5/6)

I finally got around to mounting the APEX wheels I got from the group buy. They are hyper black 18x9.5 et38 all around with Michelin PSS tires 245/40 and 255/40 front and rear. I moved the TPMS sensors over from the stock wheels and the shop did order new valve stems which are shorter and chunkier.

All four wheels. Hyperblack is hard to photograph, they come out looking lighter than in person (imho) because of the reflectivity of the silver.

Concave!!! This is a good representaion of the actual color of the wheels not in direct sunlight. I did notice the wheels came with a few shallow dings in the face. Nothing you could see from a few feet and there were no scratches in the finish, they just weren't as perfect as say my BBS LMs. At a fraction of the price though, I'm happy with them.

It's hard to see here but the inner barrel and rear face of the wheels are black and there's some silver spray on center rear. Just shows you how they make hyper black from the layering of silver over black and how hard that must be to match. All my wheels match perfectly BTW.

Here's the fender clearance up front. I'm lowered slightly on ASTs with about -2 degrees of camber on Vorshlag plates. No rubbing and no spacers. The tires have a little stretch and sit closer to the fenders than the rears but still plenty of room. If I were going for the hellaflush look though, I might have problems without more camber.

Plenty of room in the rear as well. Just ordered 12mm spacers from APEX to use up that extra space to the fender but clearance to the strut is fine.

How far out the wheel studs stick out from the face of the wheel (75mm studs)

Dirty car pic while the gf was shopping....

Nice!!! I've been curious to see how hyper black would sit on a lowered coupe. I just put in my order as well for their current GB, although I opted to go 1 size down to 17". Doesn't look great but keeps the rubber cost down.

i dont get how you guys get these wide fronts to work???? maybe my car is bent, lol, my 19x8.5 Et32 (235/35/19 PS2) -2.3ish camber would JUST catch the front of the liner when i was on the track and the car FULLY loaded up in the turn.... not enough to rub through the liner but enough for me to See where it had glanced, i took the offset back to -34 and so far have no issues

id love to run a square 9.5" setup but worried ill ruin my liners during proper driving.....were talking 100% using all the cars performance driving,

whats everyones opinions on the 18x9 +42 and 18x10 +25 offsets, are these likely to rub on a hard driven car???

I'm running 18X9.5's up front w +35 offset and -2.5 camber. Zero rubbing and no spacers. Perfect fitment really. Plus, Apex 9.5's are the most concave fronts I've seen of any wheel yet for our cars.

No wheel lock on the track. The fastest person around the track is the person who turns the steering wheel the least and keeps the pedal to the floor the longest.

This is truth!
