This what you're looking for?

Ooops, I removed the pic because it was rude of me to post it without permission.

My apologies SoCal. Just because we can do things, doesn't mean we should...

I like the sport button for the improved throttle response and the lower steering assist. Having a 2.5, I find the acceleration a little underwhelming, but being able to use a lighter touch on the gas coming out of corners, I feel like i'm in better control. That is until that funny yellow light comes on.

I'm not sure how much of a monster the non-M cars become with the sport button, but the ///M can be a bit of an handful...I definately don't need it most of the time.

That was a pretty fun night. Good Times.

Again, sorry for cutting you off on the on ramp, SoCal. In my defense, it was the 5 and my Z doesn't have a sport button.

another 160 hp would probably make the sport button unnecessary for me, but I can't afford that right now.

Yal, it's all about knowing your car and the road. She was on the inside of the first turn (left run at a light)... then the on ramp snaked back to the right.

But it's ok, I let her take the lead on the highway... I didn't know where we were going! HAHA!

I'm still learning my limits and those of my car. I was on a nice bit of twisty and came up on a 911 today. When the guy saw me, he nailed it and that thing just shot away. He was hitting corners and not even braking while I probably made every mistake possible. I finally caught him at a stop sign. He gave me a big thumbs up and a smile and was off again. His license plate said something about a racing team out of San Mateo. Racer or not, he had better equipment and I'm guessing way more skill than i do. Dangerous? yes. Stupid? yes. But it was still rather fun.

I've been to an advanced training class, but that was Reg Pridmore's 20 years ago and it was on two wheels. I still look for the apex of every corner though.

I know the title of this thread is sport button...but come on, this thread was highjacked pages ago.... Now the topic is either Viking God, Short people that can't reach the pedal, driving naked (at least bare foot), or take your pic, just about anything else is allowed.

I hear you; these are fun cars, they loved to be pushed and the sport button makes that just a little easier... and it still seems I am constantly challenged by every Mustang and Corvette on the road. Who would ever think such a small car could piss off so many people.

Back on topic for a post, I tried sifting through the OT but my question regarding the sport button (07 3.0Si 6MT) is does it give better gas mileage? And to me it seems like the engine revs up faster in sport mode and makes blipping the throttle for downshifting much easier. The car seems way more sluggish with the button on? Also past few days I've been turning the sport button OFF when I get on the freeway and are cruising in 6th and I've noted a .5 MPG increase.

Kill me. I apologized and removed the original (see above).

That said, you're gorgeous, don't worry bout it. Your arm candy doesn't do anything for me, but I'm sure he's a nice guy.

I've had varying luck with mileage in my car with the sport button on. I drive in step mode a lot and the car seems to get better mileage when i'm shifting at slightly higher revs than in standard auto mode, so that should translate to better mileage in sport, but you have to be careful on your starts as you'll burn up that savings if you don't take off smoothly with a light touch.
