Thanks, spicy & Vanne. I know I'll never get another one like it but passing it along still seems the responsible decision. However, if there are no serious buyers I'll happily keep it until I can enjoy it in the future!

Here's another pic courtesy of XMetal.

They're OEM. A quick google search will find quite a few. A lot of people don't like them but I think they break things up and add a little something. Not to mention greater protection against rock chips!

I've been looking for weeks and haven't been able to come across a set - they're NLA everywhere. If you decide to part with those prior to sale, pls let me know! Buyers have peace of mind with the lack of rock chips

Oh, man. I'm sorry. I just did a quick google search to find a link for you during my first reply and saw so many I didn't investigate further. After clicking a few this time it does seem they're all out of stock. I have seen them come up for sale on here a couple of times. I don't know if any of the previously listed ones are still available but keep an eye out.

The car is sold and will be on its way to a good new home with a true BMW enthusiast and former Z4M owner tomorrow morning despite someone on here contacting the buyer at the last minute to tell them it's basically a trashed track car. Pretty shady. Shame on whoever that was. Thanks and good luck to the new owner!

Sad to see you part with this amazing car, but glad to hear it's going to a good home - an enthusiast that will appreciate it Hope to see you back into something fun one day. You're more than welcome to take my car out for a spin if you ever have the itch

WTF is wrong with people these days - Why would someone wants to mess with other people's business? How did that person even know who you were selling to? Hmmmm...Do you have a stalker?

Thanks. A little bittersweet but for the best. I had only driven the car about 500 miles in the last year. It's going to a good home where it will continue to be meticulously taken care of.

Thanks, Ken. I may have to take you up on some M coupe time. I'm sure I'll have withdrawals sooner than later.

I don't know what the tipster's deal was but I'm guessing its someone else selling a car on here right now. Likely local since they claimed to have seen my car. Also possible that it was a misunderstanding since they said my car was beat up and had a roll cage, etc. Oh, well. All's well that ends well.

What's the diff between the 991.1 and .2? I used to have .1, so, curious.

Glad the sale went well. What is it with Interlagos Moupes and buy/sell drama on this site anyway. This is the second one I'm aware of that had intrigue.

The 991.2 GT3 moves to a NA 4.0 from a 3.8 and adds solid lifters. And, you can get the .2 with a 6MT not just PDK. No turbos. It's the only 911 heritage car that's still NA, and with a wonderful screaming redline. The rest of the 991.2 series outside of the GT3 add small turbos. Are you maybe taking GTS not GT3 in the .2?

So aside from the 4.0 and some facelift changes there shouldn't be an extreme difference. The .2 looks pretty nice based on the nifty sales info / scale model gift box Porsche sent me for Christmas, but it's kinda evil to send such temptation though . Performance looks even more impressive than the .1 (gotta love they moved to solid lifters from hydraulic).

Still, I'd take another 991.1 GT3 any day but driving impressions matter. I haven't had a chance to test drive the .2 yet. So, driving wise, what do you like about is the .1 GT3 over the .2 GT3?
