UPDATE: i guess it was worth the fight. the city is paying my claim! the wheels are long gone, but it's nice to have a little surprise 'mod' spending cash!

How much did they end up giving you? Did you have to provide them with photographic proof of the damage?

the full amount $360.00... i sent then a certified letter, with pictures of the road depression i hit, and a copy of the repair bill. i'm stunned they paid it given the current economic state.

It's probably cheaper for them to pay it outright rather than paying out droves of lawyers to handle lawsuits.
