Its just insane that all of you think you need the biggest gun possible to drive around or need to be more lethal then the next random guy.
No one should have a gun, no guns no problems. + You all have insurance who cares if you get car jacked. Replacing a car is easy and not worth dying or killing over.

While I agree about the insurance part...let them have the car it isn't THAT important. You should not and probably are not using lethal to protect/save the car from getting robbed. It should only come into place when you are in fear for your life. I wake up in the middle of the night and someone is in my house......they are there to kill me and I will defend my life appropriately. Not my stuff...my life.
You comment about no guns no problems is just false and wrong. No guns, no ability to defend yourself (in some states defending your property is allowed I believe TX maybe) but all criminals WILL be armed because they can still obtain guns from the trunk of a street dealer in a dark parking lot. So it gives them 100% guarantee that you will not shoot them when they walk up into your home or car, etc. I feel that a de-armed population will experience more crime...my opinion based mostly on fact. Ok back on topic. Roffle Waffle, if it is pretty well hidden then cool. I was just affraid that it was fairly visible when the drivers door was open. |

Wow. Thats why I live in Alberta Canada....no fear. I have never in my 43 years feared for my life or my property. We use guns to hunt with...not personal protection.

Although I will be the first to celebrate the day that this happens, I don't think I'll live to see it. You see, criminals don't selectively follow laws usually...in other words the man planning to rob me isn't going to forgo using a gun just because it's against the law. He's already planning to rob me, right? Therefore, I should be able to protect myself (within the safe confines of the law) against people like him. It's not the wild west over here. There aren't shootouts out in the streets every two hours. But if it's gonna happen to someone, it's not gonna be me.

Tell that to the criminals, the only thing gun laws protect is them.

Anyway there is a pocket below the air con controls, maybe you could have some sort of draw made to pop out and you can hide what ever. Cant remember how much space is behind it though.

I had a handgun back in my 20s. It was a concession to my first wife who spent a lot of time alone as I was in the Navy. The gun was a Beretta .380 and I really doubt that she could pull the slide to put one in the chamber if she had to. I left it with her when we split.
In the last 34 years I have never once wished for a gun, pistol or otherwise. Frankly, it scares me that others carry them in their cars and this thread is a good example of the attitudes about that here in the USA. I have seen incredible acts of road rage with a much larger weapon - a car. Somebody in a car with a gun at their hip is like gasoline on a small fire. Well, you get the point. My FIL took his life with a shotgun to his chin in front of his wife. I helped clean up the brains. No guns in my possession and that's not negotiable, as far as my wife is concerned. And I respect her wishes on this. I know, I know! Handguns are NOT evil. But they make many think they are some kind of superman and throw common sense out the window. The right to bear arms is a two-edged sword and, as the expression implies, it cuts both ways. If you believe that legal handguns do not have a negative effect on our security as americans, you are just kidding yourself. We need reform on this issue and it will take much to accomplish it. Decide where you stand after you study the facts. You might be surprised. Now, how about some discussion on tires, power chips, windscreens or whatever, but lets leave handguns to the LEOs. |
