Z4M steering wheel, awesome condition.
Hi there. I just purchased/installed a carbon wheel which MCast sold to me, so I now have this pretty mint condition M steering wheel for sale. I purchased this a couple years ago to replace my worn out one, and I put about 6k miles on it during that time. I was meticulous as hell with cleaning this thing, I cleaned it every week to make sure it stayed in good shape because I loved how it looked new. Anyway, what you see is what you get. I will include the plastic trim pieces, which have been wrapped in 1080 carbon vinyl (front side only). They look great, and once you install the buttons there is absolutely no bubbling or anything anywhere. You will need to transfer over some hardware from your stock wheel, but it's well documented on how to go about this and it's super easy. If you watch some videos and know what you're doing ahead of time, you can swap out wheels in like 30 minutes. For price, I'd like to get $500 shipped. It's obviously uninstalled and ready to go, and will ship via USPS Priority so you'll have it in two days. Whoever gets this will love it, it's in perfect condition. The only issue I believe is that bottom spoke has one of the plastic screw tabs broke. It's still attached with one screw, and has worked perfectly during the time I had it. If you wanted to fix it, it should be as simple as using the back spoke from your own wheel. Easy fix. Thank you! Last edited by NickyC; 05-30-2017 at 08:51 PM.. |

Did a road trip to St Louis last night to pick this up from NickyC. I saw three other Z4s beside mine and NickyC's and one was a M coupe. The wheel is awesome, I want it on NOW!
I hope there is a DIY on how to swap it out... Thanks! Steve |

Here is a DIY from the forum :http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...light=steering The hardest part of doing the install is getting the air bag off in the first place. Those two holes which you need to "poke" through are a pain if you don't understand the mechanism. Essentially, just remember you are "pushing", not "pulling" when you place the screwdriver in those holes. You're basically trying to "push" a metal bar so that the clip releases the air bag (one on both sides). You should be able to feel the tension as you "push" the metal bar in to release the air bag. If the air bag doesn't just come right out, you're not pushing the bar correctly. It should require very little force to pull the bag off if done correctly. Also, please remember to be very careful pulling the air bag off. It's hooked to wires that are attached to the steering wheel itself, and you can damage the connections if you try to pull the bag off too forcefully. Easy, steady movements are the order of the day here! Good luck! Wheel is obviously SOLD everyone, thanks again Steve! |
