non m exhaust help

i am looking into gettting an exhaust (i miss the sounds) for my 3.0si coupe. im looking for more ferarri type sound and less camaro/mustang type exhaust. i like the higher pitch screams of the imports. what exhaust fits that bill the closest? no change to headers or anything like that, my dealership is cool with me putting on a cat back but anything else i could see being a problem.... so far i really like the sound of the stebro (only seen the video) and i imagine that is with a center pipe as well to achieve that sound. also the sound of the capristo (sp?) is very close to what im looking for. anyone have any REAL WORLD experience with exhaust for the z4 that can chime in?

How loud do you want it? And you won't get a V-10 or V-8 sound out of an I-6... it's just not going to happen.

I suggest scouring youtube. I'm not sure if Remus makes a catback for the 3.0si, but I've always thought they improved the sound quality without making the car obnoxious. Some people think Remus is too close to stock volume levels to be worth it.

Stebro Exhaust

If you want a Ferrari type sound - that is the exhaust you looking for, comes with lifetime warranty. There is many positive reply's about the exhaust for Z4, it has a very good fit on a car and improved tip desighn/finish. Make sure to get it from reliable source to get a quality customer service.

i had a remus on my car. very subtle low growl on wot. with an si...if you want a ferrari/F1 sound your going to have to install headers and run a muffler delete. if headers are out of the question your only options are eisenmann race exhaust or a muffler delete with software.

^how do headers modify the exhaust note toward something high-pitched like f1?

i embellished a little bit. its not going to be fi but the stock exhaust manifolds are coupled with the catalytic converts and are highly restrictive delete the sound restrictive muffler and the combination multiplies. a non m with headers and a muffler delete at wot will wake the dead

just put on a SS exhaust and added the sound generator mod ..... I'm super happy with the sound .... and the torque increases with the exhaust are great ..... together they honestly make the car sound like a monster ....

totally unimpressed with the ss video clips compared to the stebro, but as we all know video vs real life.... two totally different things.... i cant change the headers unfortunatly because of my warrenty. and yeah i beilive that the n52 with full exhaust would be VERY VERY loud. hearing the s54 vs the n52, the sounds are totally different. much boomier and louder with the n52 i think.
