Thanks! I'd want no more than around 25K - 30K miles ideally, so on that basis I expect I'd be looking at spending around $30k or more for a Z4M roadie.

I don't know. I paid slightly less than $25k for mine with like 33k miles.

I think you could find one pretty easily for $30k. If you were patient (say willing to wait 6 months), I think you could get one with 30k miles for around $26-$27k. They're obviously become harder to find all the time though.

I paid $22.5k for mine with 50k miles (with nav), and I think that was a steal. But it was at a lexus dealership, that had taken it in on a trade, and I don't think they really understood what they had.

If you want extended leather, you really have to be patient. Most people selling cars with extended leather (excluding forum people) don't seem to understand how rare it is, so it doesn't usually increase the price much. They're just hard to find. If I could do it over again, I would definitely wait for extended leather.

Montego was not a color available on Z4M's.

A 30K mile Z4MR can easily be had at $25,000, possibly less.

I'm a bit swamped from post-holiday season work, but Z4MRoadsterBuyersguide.com will be up and running in a week or two.

Easily eh? I didn't think there were many left with under 30k. I guess the buyers guide will be the judge.

There was a year or so during the rougher economy when minty fresh Z4MR's were floating in the low 20's. Combination of market flood from all the three year leases expiring and the cars having plenty of trunk cash when new.

Funny enough that is the dealership where I bought my coupe 3 years ago, with the same color combo. I also thought I got a pretty good deal, but not as good as that one!

Here's an example of a $26.5K with 26K miles Z4MR. Interlagos over Extended Light Sepang. I would pay the extra cost and upgrade to the lower mile car.

And a similar Interlagos over Black Extended.

Thanks for the replies!

After thinking about the car, I decided to keep my car for now. My car drives great and it is in great mechanical condition thanks to the preventive maintenance and the upgrades I did to it.

I called the dealer to thank them for the offer and to find out what happened with the car. They told me it was sold like 3 days ago.

The Z4 M was clean and like I said the Carfax showed it was Dealer serviced all its life. They didn't have the records with details but for what I remember the car had a last major service within the last 6xxx miles. Also the water pump was replaced.

I think the price was good. If I didn't have my car, I may have given it a shot.

The reasons that kept me away from pulling the trigger were:

1.- The high mileage of the car. I Know I would feel happier and more comfortable with a lower mileage car. My car has 10000 less miles than that Z4 M.

2.- What they wanted to give me for my car was too low. I know I could have gotten the car and then sell my car privately and get more but I just didn't feel like for going through the whole process.

3.- If I had bought the car, for peace of mind I would have wanted to do preventive maintenance to it. It hasn't even been a year since I did all that to my car and I just didn't feel like for going through all that again.

4.- Probably this is the most important: I didn't have the feeling that told me "this is the car". I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about.

I could have afforded that car but I think this specific Z4 M was not meant to be for me. As a BMW enthusiast, I know I will have a Z4 M soon. I had 1 Z3 and 3 E46 3 series and so far the Z4 platform is my favorite one

Definitely worth waiting for "the one." Just have patience and be ready to make your move when it pops up!

FWIW mine had 36k and was listed for $23,900 at Stevens Creek BMW a little over a year ago. White on red, alu trim, no nav, all records. I was the first and only person that got to see it
