Mine was picked up on Friday, and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I also got my UPS shipping notice a while ago: 5/24.

I have not been able to get under the car, but when I installed it the flanges lined up.

This weekend I will get the car on the ramps and snap a shot for you.

Mine showed up today. They look very nice! I will get them on the car this saturday and report. I will also weigh the mufflers coming off and compare to see how much weight the Stromungs save.

Agree, they look a lot nicer than the OEM they replaced.

Side by side, difference is obvious, looks like a much more refined part. the tips of the oem cans are just attached, cheap as hell.

This is they way they look against each other on the car. The Stromung's look much better, yet keep a somewhat OEM look.

Plus they sound excellent, my boss today told me that my car sounds like an actual sports car now. He drives an Aston martin Vantage, bastard!

Before with OEM Cans

With Stromung Cans

Lots of Spanish being slung about in these videos, but its all good

This was taken with a blackberry so trust me when I say that the video does not do the true sound any justice.

But, certainly louder than stock and very deep, sounds kick ass when running wide open

I decided to put mine on this evening. They fit perfectly. It's the first time in a while I've installed an aftermarket anything without some sort of pain in the ass. I checked for leaks by feeling around the joint with the engine idling, and didn't feel anything. Also, even stock the floating flanges were not bolted flush. There was a 1/8" gap or so. With the stromungs, the gap is larger (maybe 1/4"), but it's plenty tight. At least with mine, there would be no chance of getting the flanges flush unless you forgot to put in the metal sealing ring. You'd snap the bolts first.

The Stromungs end up saving 16 lbs total compared to the stock cans. Sound ls nice, but imho, quite subdued. On the highway cruising at 70, I could hardly tell they were there at all. I didn't hear anything that you could even begin to call a "drone". I listened carefully at engine rpms of 2000-3000, and couldn't hear squat. I could only tell the new mufflers were there at all when accelerating on the highway. Vicj, did you check for exhaust leaks by actually feeling for them with the motor running? There has to be one someplace.

All in all, I'm very pleased. They will be a lot easier to live with than the Buschur turboback I had on my STi. But that made an additional 40hp with the accompanying tune, so I guess you take the good with the bad...

I envy those already received their Stromung exhaust. There has been no update to my UPS tracking information sent on 5/24. I called Stromung several times and do not get an answer or able to leave message because mailbox is full. Very frustrating dealing with this company. I do not recommend Stromung for those that cannot wait. It is so frustrating to try to contact the company.

I installed Euro headers and section 1 last week. Drove the car for about 50 miles so far. No CEL/SES light so far. My shop did not have to extend O2 sensor. It sounds pretty much stock until it reaches around 5k RPM. There is a definte a difference in performance. My shop reset ECU and adaptation so it will take another couple of hundred miles for car to adjust.

Rob, I can't apologize for them regarding the delay and communication issues, however, if it's any consolation, I have not received my order yet either. Scott is a really nice guy when talking to him on the phone, and they offer quality products that are competitively priced, however the timeliness of his communication really needs to be worked on, especially if they want to expand and continue to be successful.

Anyway, I spoke to Stromung earlier this morning and found out our two orders were the last to be processed, but are boxed up to be shipped out TODAY.

45ACP,

Thanks for the update. Scott sounds like a very nice guy. Scott told me I was the on the list of the first batch to ship out about a month ago. What frustrate me the most is I do not have a way to contact Stromung for status. I tried email and calling several times without the ability to leave message.

I am glad I will get the exhaust this week. Thanks again 45ACP for all your help. You must have a hotline to Stromung

^^^ I think it's pretty clear that Vicj has an issue with his that isn't normal. I'll reserve judgement on my own install which should happen next week.

vicj,

Can you get a sound clip of the drone? Stromung mufflers are not very loud to cause drone like you described.
