New Tires - What a difference
Just put on a set of Hankook Ventus Nobles on.
Tramlining gone, quieter, no bone-rattling bumps. It's like a different car. FYI, the DWS has been discontinued, the replacement has to reviews at TireRack yet. I chose to go with the Ventus as it was a known quantity. There's still stock of DWS's around, but if I lose a tire in a year, there's likely not going to be a replacement available in the 255/35/18 size. That would mean changing at least 2, probably 4 tires. So, the Ventus's it is. As an aside, the Z4 has not had a break since we got it. I drove the first week and parked my Mercedes, wife drove it last week and parked her Mercedes. I have custody again this week. I don't see that changing until the temps get down to the 40s. I'll drive with the top down until the temps get to the 30s, she won't. |

I have the same year, motor, car as yours, and the first thing I did was get rid of the run flats also. I installed yokohama avid accends. Car is totally different now as yours is also.

To really feel a difference, get an allignment after intalling new tires. This should always be done with new tires but since tire shops dont do it now days, it's often skipped.

I *never* get an alignment with new tires, unless the car needs it - just changing tires does not put a properly-aligned car out of alignment.
