z4 added to garage
My brothers all time favorite car is the e85 z4 and he got a good deal on a car he knew the history of since new 2003 TiAg z4 2.5i 65k original miles owned by a family friend.
Car has minimal options manual roof seats no cruise control but ppi checked out: all major failure items gaskets cooling system have been Replaced. and engine trans is solid. Ditched the old worn runflats for a set of vredsteins and it’s driving a lot better already Completed a full service just to have a fresh baseline : oil and diff fluid changed filters air cabin. And added a stubby antennae. My brother is not super into cars but since it’s not his daily driver I get to mod / fix / play with the car 😎 Immediate Plans: Clean and seal the convertible top (303 kit) Clear side markers and taillights : looking to source Back box delete and bigger tips Performance filter / intake Research indicates dinan is best and that too only with ram air probably just do a drop in for now Transmission service Add Bluetooth looking @ bluebus vs eBay Bluetooth adapter Retrofit cruise control Winter plans Change engine & transmission mounts Refresh suspension “One day” Interior project : Multifunction m wheel (retrofit ) Power heated sport seats (research shows e46 m sport seats should work and are easier to find than z4 specific seats Welcome any feedback from those who have done any of these mods or have recommendations. I’ve tried to read all the diys. Been around the forums a while and have had many bmws in the past current daily is an f15 x5. Looking forward to being more active on here. |

Congratulations to your brother on the new car. The stubby antenna is one of the first things I mention, but it looks like you took care of that already.
Enjoy the top down driving. |
