for me, with the button on the ride gets too choppy... is that common... I do get a little choppiness even when I don't have the sport mode turned on. Is it SMG's fault? I'm not driving it right?

Unless your are really on it the whole time the Sport can get a little choppy. I only use it when I am accelerating 5K rpm or above before shifting usually.

it gets really embarrassing when i drive an smg yet be so choppy...

even when i am not using the sport mode

I'm coming from an SMGII on an M3 so probablly a bit different, but I think if you drive it like you have the 3rd pedal and breathe the throttle your shifts will smooth out for sure.

Unless you are pushing your car to the limits on the track where you need that instant throttle response, I just don't feel it is as practical for daily driving. Hardly ever use it.
