Any idea if they are still doing this service? Website says its out of stock and haven't gotten an email response, nor does anyone answer the phone at Tekarbon?

Yikes, I'm not sure. Anyone more local want to take one for the team and go visit them in person? I'd go if I didn't live like 6 hours away

I email them twice and no reply. I call them multiply times and no answering. I could go since I live 15 minutes away from San Dimas California but kind of like ignoring their e mails and phone calls and sounds like not just me now I am disappointment in their contact service.

Sounds like maybe they closed business or something

I'd swing by in person, and if they're still in business, tell them they need to get their shit together

They're in business. I just got a valve cover from them. No issues at all.

If that's the case, then they definitely need to get their shit together as far as responding to incoming emails and phone calls

I've been trying to call/email them and have gotten no response for weeks. If anyone hears anything from Tekarbon would appreciate an update here. Online it shows their z4 headlight mod is "out of stock". I'm located in SF and wanted to send mine in and see what the turnaround time would be.

Also, does anyone know of any custom headlight shops that are as good in the Bay Area? If i can go to someone local it would be a lot easier to get the halos done.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any shops that have experience working specifically on the E85/E86 Z4 platform's headlights, and therefore cannot recommend any shops up in NorCal.

Hopefully seeing them in person, they're more receptive. Let them know that other Z4s want the work done if they're still willing to do the work.

I'm lucky that mine don't need to be serviced yet. Otherwise I may have to make a trip with the car down to SoCal

So I found a place in San Jose that can do custom lighting work. They're kind of pricey as far as I know though. The place is called Extreme HID, and I believe the manager is named John. They do all sorts of light work, including angel eyes for various makes and models. Here's their Yelp page: http://www.yelp.com/biz/xtreme-hid-san-jose
They've done E89 Z4s at least, from the reviews I'm seeing (http://www.yelp.com/biz/xtreme-hid-s...ages_or_emails)

So I had a run-in with bambi several weeks ago, and my car has been at the body shop being worked on slowly. Since one headlight had to be replaced, I'm having both my headlights redone at Xtreme HID in San Jose, CA under insurance coverage. All I know is, they're blacking the inside shrouds out (just as I already had before), and they're going to replace the original Tekarbon angel eyes with "plasma LED halos" of some sort. I don't know what brand they are, but this place has installed tons of these for all sorts of different cars. Plus, they're relatively local to me if I ever have any issues and need them to warranty their work.

As far as I know, they're charging my insurance company around $1k to do both headlights. That's definitely not something I'd normally pay myself for something like this, but since it's through insurance, I said "eff it, just do it!"

In any case, I will update with pix once I get the car back.

That's pricey, but not much more than Umnitza once you add up options for the halo upgrade and xenon adapter. Anyone have any updated information on TekArbon?

Wow, those look intense! May have to consider getting something similar in the future. Please post pics once installed! Might be worth starting a new thread?
