BMW has advised that a battery cable connector can fail and cause the engines to stall.
570,000 cars in the U.S. and Canada are affected.

Cars identified:
3-series from 2007-2011
1-series from 2008-2012
Z4 2009-2011

Hope everyone with a second BMW finds comfort in the heads up....

My wife's 2011 335is Coupe is in the recall group.

For those with other BMWs that are affected, I wrote this post yesterday on Bimmerfest that you may find interesting. The official recall documents between BMW NA and NHTSA are attached to the post, including the one from BMW NA that includes the manufacture date range for each model:
