Brake Pad Wear Sensors
Are they necessary to be installed?
Will I get a brake warning light if not installed? I do my own maintenance and so check pads as routine each year end.

I have mine still plugged in to the harness & coiled up.
You should be ok to completely remove though. They work by shorting between the 2 wires, so as long as there is an open cct you should be good.

They constantly slip out on my stoptech bbk, so I just zip tied them out of the way. As long as you check your brake wear often enough, shouldn't be an issue imo
