Looking for information about differences between output shafts.

Hi!

It seemes that my 2007 e86 right (passenger) output axle shaft is dead.

Is there any difference between 2001-2006 (m54) e85 shafts and
shafts from 2006-2008 (n52)?

According to bmwcats, the only difference is in diameter of shaft itself, but this diameter does not really matters.

Side of shaft, which goes to differential, seemes equal on shafts 2001-2006 (m54) e85 and 2006-2008 (n52). It diameter is 86 mm.

But what about opposite side? How many slots does this side have on 2001-2006 (m54) e85 and 2006-2008 (n52) cars?

And is there any difference in lenght of shafts on this two engines?

Will be very grateful for any information.
