I hopefully will be moving on to Porsche. I like the Cayman R right now or S in black edition. I want a white or silver Porsche with suspension and Magnesium Blue Volks at this point and will not except anything less. BMW falls short as they have no super car at this point. I love my X5 though!
lol sorry to hear. I was hoping you would live according to your handle! Though its hard to go too wrong with a p car.

560 hp / 500 lb-ft M6 isn't super enough?

I looked at them but wasn't my cup of tea. Too much of what I have already. I loved the modified Z4MC look and feel but can't find any coupes locally in 3 states that I would even consider. Tons of M roadsters and saw a nice one at Kuni BMW but in stock trim it just didn't do anything for me. I was like, car needs some work and attention to detail. lol

I honestly love driving my X5 everywhere in this rainy weather. Its so comfortable.

Curb weight on a 458 is listed at nearly 3400 lbs. Someone obviously didn't do the metric conversion properly or is maybe thinking of another car.

Sure, there will always be faster, lighter cars. But saying BMW offers "no super car at this point" is false, in context of the original comment presuming that BMW offered a super car at some point (which could be argued on definition of what a super car is).

Yeah sorry what I quoted was for the Ferrari 458 GTC. Regular 458 is 3274lbs officially.

Still better than the 4300-4500 lbs of the M6.

And I still wouldn't consider it a super car. I think the only BMWs I'd call super cars are the i8 (maybe) and the M1.

I think the 430 Stradale was ~2700 lbs. M6 has supercar power, but I don't know... I agree that it's not a supercar. Maybe because there are more plebeian variants of the same car around? Definitions of supercar are very subjective, but imho, a supercar should be designed from the ground up as such. IIRC, the 6 series shares much of its chassis with the 5, and the m6 shares much with the m5, which although is a super car, is not a "supercar."

it sounds like you dont know what you want lol. literally 30 days ago you wanted to install a front lip and badges, and now you cant stand driving the car. if you didnt like the z4mc or the m3 i dont know how you will like the cayman...that car feels much more boring imo.

front what im reading you want something comfortable, powerful, with supercar looks and appeal. try looking at a used maseratti gran turismo, aston vantage, or 360. with exception of the porsche turbo, i dont think you will be happy with any gt3 models since they are harsh and not considered "comfortable". my dad has an R8 with electronic dampening and that car is fun to drive and very comfortable in the soft setting. maybe have a look at those as well.

You are pretty spot on. I know what I want but don't want to spend that kind of money right now. lol I want a black on black Gallardo. All blacked out. $85k is more than I want to spend on a low mile wholesale one.

I want a different look than the everyday E46 looking car. I just don't care for the looks anymore. I should have kept my Z4MC. I was very contempt with it but got a great deal on an E92 M3.
I was looking at the R8s and they are $75$90k wholesale but am not a Volkswagon/Audi fan. Never have been.

So who knows. I may just buy a $15k Barrett Semi Auto 50 BMG with thermal optics package. LOL

BMW does not offer a super car IMO . For me a Super car should be under 3500 pounds and 550hp+... Some that come to mind...

Aston Marton
Bugatti
Lamborghini
Ferrari
Koenigsegg
Porsche

The E92 M3 or M6 should not be considered in a line up with these cars IMO.

There is no way a 2010 BMW M6 should be considered in the same class as this....Do you think so? lol I know its over the top but still...NO BMW is in this class of super car.

2010 M6

^ BUT YOU SAID "at this point" which implies you thought BMW had one previously and had a different definition of super car. Anyway, moving on. Personally I don't care for super cars even if I had the money because they're so over the top and coveted by everyone. The Koenigsegg is the ugliest of the bunch -- very cookie cutter super car design. Our Z4M's look way better.

True... Yeah I don't want to spend the money on them but if it was free, hell I would drive one daily.

The Koenigsegg is sweet if done right and pretty darn fast.

Z4MCs do look sweet, we all agree. I am looking for another one right now actually. Not one locally in 2 states.

you might not be supercar fast with the z4m. But i just dont think anything compares to the feeling you get from the M. Its just so good. the perfect mix of raw and artificial aid.

I have driven both the r8 and gallardo and the gallardo rides like crap compared to the Audi. Much stiffer and rough. You would have to be looking at a newer LP560 to compare ride quality with the Audi. And btw, Vw, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti are all owned by the vw group. A lot of them even have the same interior switches and buttons. The Audi and Lamborghini share a common motor as well

I knew about the Audi and Lambo sharing motors.. Just not an Audi fan. Did not know about the others. I never liked their cars aside from the R8 but really I am contempt with my X5. Maybe trade up for an X5M and call it a day.

The E92 M3 has to go. I backed out today from my driveway and was disgusted at looking at it. Really put a foul taste in my mouth. However, I should not complain at all being fortunate to own one but still pisses me off that I made that mistake. It was my own fault and will cost me to get out of it and so be it.

I'll trade you my M coupe for your M3...Ill even pay for shipping of both vehicles

If you go with the Gallardo ( Edit: 2007 or older, I think they improved 2008+), you'll end up replacing the clutch every 10-15k miles or sooner depending on Egear or 6MT and driving habits, along with the throw out bearing about every other clutch
