2,5 i

Hi
I am new here.
And I just bought me my 2 BMW and this is a Z4 2.5i in this there is 177 hp. I was supposed to buy a 2.5 SI with 218 hp. But the man in Germany sold it 2 days before i came to the shop.

So here's my question. Why is there so much difference in engine Efekta on these two engines?
What has 2.5 SI that of 2.5i do not have?
And what can I do with this engine that allows it to get more BHP?

Also, I am looking for new summer wheels for my car, what kind of dimensions is the largest one can put on this car?
I'd like some 20 inches on it, but am afraid there is no space?

Will post more pictures of the car.

putting 20 inch wheels on the car will make it feel even SLOWER, like a 150hp car

I believe ESS company makes a supercharger for the 2.5 engine. Don't waste time with intake, exhaust, chips

But what is the difference between 2.5 and 2.5 in SI this is what I do not understand. and BMW has no reasonable answer to me.
For if a 2.5 SI has 218 BHP so it must be a simple matter to fix on my 2.5 I?
or just put in a supercharger.

It's a different engine, 2.5i uses the M54, the 2.5si uses the N52.

Good news is that the M54 will take boost, while it's not a good idea to boost the N52 (aluminum-magnesium engine).

As roffle said either boost it or leave it alone. Chipping and other mods are just not worth it. 20" will make it even rougher on the road and you'll have even less performance.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it is clear to me what I must do.
In Norway, it is not allowed to drive faster than 100km / h = 60Mp / h
Then I buy a set of 19 "next summer

New wheels only make it better if they have a lighter weight then the ones you're replacing.
