July 3rd Cars & Coffee

Hey all.

There has been some interest in a DFW Z3/4 meetup and I figured the best place to do it would be at Cars & Coffee held at Classic BMW in Plano. If you have never been, this is an amazing car show that attracts car crazy people from all over the region. It is held the first Saturday of every month from 8am-noon. To get a group spot, we need to show up kinda early. Some months the M3, M5, M6 guys meet up before and roll in together. I have not heard/seen anything for July and they didn't do anything last month(or I didn't get the memo ) So I figure we will plan to meet up in their normal spot so if they do decide to meet, we can add on with them. I’m not sure how many people will be interested in this since it is 4th of July weekend but meh, lets give it a try. I go to this event just about every month since it is very local to me. Maybe we can get a monthly meet going on. Feel free to invite anyone you'd like. All are welcome.

I'll def be there. Glad y'all going to make it.

BTW; I've never "hosted a meet" before...well not a car meet...but can't be too hard right? Start small and just go with the flow.

Well crap. I just heard this from another local forum I read:

Quote:
Just a note

Cars and Coffee will be starting at 7 am instead of 8 am due to heat. Plan accordingly.

If you want to make sure you have a parking spot, be sure to get there around that time.

I will be there at around 6:15. If anyone wants to ensure a spot in my videos covering the event please PM me.
I'm going to look more into it and make sure it is legit. That is pretty damn early for a weekend. I bet most people don't know about the new time so there should still be some open spots.

I am not sure if I will make it as early as 7:30am. I may not show up until 8:30 to 9am at CC, depends on if the wife goes. I live out on the west side of Fort Worth so its not super close. So if I show up at 9am will I have a place to park? If not can I park nearby to walk over and look at the cars?

I have never been before. Funny that the time is being bumped earlier since this weekend will not be at hot.

Ya you can show up late but might not get a spot in the "show" area. There is plenty of parking elsewhere tho. I'll PM you my number so if you can't find us, give me a ring. See ya then!

I will check the weaher in the morning to make the call if I go or not. Now my car is all dirty from driving in the rain all day. If you see a red roadster Z4M with a dealer paper tag that it me.

Well, it was wet when I got there, the roads were wet but not really raining. I understand the turnout is much greater when people are not afraid to bring out there cars that cost more than my house. I got a few pictures, lighting was not ideal since there was no sun. No pics of my dirty car.

Another Lambo:

Cobra (replica I am sure):

Nice Ferarri:

Check out the huge brake rotors:

What my car would look like if it was clean:

I saved the best for last, the Yugo. The owner had a Yogo shirt on and everything:

Check out the spare tire in the engine compartment, take that Ferarri and Lambo:

man, must've just missed you. we left about 945. that yellow lambo just pulled up and i snapped a couple photos and took off. i was disappointed that they didn't come out because it was gloomy, not even raining anymore. oh well.

but for next month i'm going to have an ///M flag with me and post it up, like they have the country flags. maybe we can get all the ///Ms over our way eventually.
