Carbon Fiber Brake Intake Vents Anyone?
I am looking at having someone custom make a set up brake intakes in carbon fiber and wanted to see if anyone else would be interested.
Just let me know and I can see how far we can get the price down. |

Great, you can give David at http://www.harrisonmotorsports.com/ a call and just let him know you spoke to Will Harris. I have already told his fabricator to get started on making the mold.

are these going to be just replacements for the stock plastic bits, or are you planning on actually routing the air somewhere besides on the tire? if these are going to be routing elsewhere , id be interested.

We are looking at two possibilities, I bought a set of replacements from the dealership and the guys are looking at a direct replacement or just an insert that fits over your current stock parts.
I will ask them if we can reroute the flume to push air directly on the brakes . Maybe something like this that I have seen for the mini cooper. |

My car is headed to the shop in a week or so and I had them fabricate full replacements and slide-ins so you guys can see what they look like. They are also for my car creating the additions to push the air directly to the brakes. Has soon as they are finished I will post pics.

I'm holding off fabricating my own (old school) ducts......
I'm definitely interested if costs aren't too bad.

They are telling me the car should be finished by Friday. I have had it with them since last Tuesday finishing up a list of new mods. Trust me I can't wait and as soon as I get it I will get pics up of them installed and uninstalled.

Interested in this, last time I checked there wasn't really space to reroute the air to the brakes unless you start taking parts of the bumper away.

They have been working on a couple of methods including laminating the factory pieces and have had some issues due to the cone shape. The guys at Harrison Motorsports in Atlanta are working on custom fabricating something to make something that actually makes these vents functional. I am opening to see something I can show you guys very soon.
