tried searching for this without any luck-

i'm trying to find some underbody views of a 07 z4 near the exhaust.

Why not just take it to a "restoration" shop and have them weld the crack? I cracked a cross-member on my E39 once and it was fixed good as new and 7 years later has never been a problem.

It's in the shop right now getting replaced.

Not sure what the exact purpose of this is. Just a structure brace im guessing?

I actually heard some "creaking" in the car which prompted me to take it to the shop.
Also think it was causing the muffler to rattle a bit.
