Just bought an '07 Z4 over the Camaro...Now I understand the obsession :)

I just picked up my new (to me) '07 Z4, Alpine White, black top, with red leather seats. I was also considering the new camaro...but ultimately decided on the Z after driving it.

All I can say is that I completely understand the obsession with these cars now! And, I also fully understand why some folks thought I was kidding whey I mentioned that I was deciding between the two. I don't know what I was thinking when I was considering the camaro. It looks good, but drives like a sedan.

The Z is a blast to drive and the build quality is superb. The car is an '07 and looks, feels, and drives like it was brand new. I couldn't stop smiling during the entire 3 hour trip home. Only bad part was that it was raining so I didn't punch it too much.

I want to wait until this weekend when I get to wash and wax it before posting pics.

I'm sooooo glad I bought this car. Couldn't be happier!

Welcome to the family! I love the red leather! I got a 07 3.0si White with Black top and beige leather. I couldn't find red leather in a white car, I'm jealous!

Post some pictures when you get her cleaned up. Depending on mileage you should give her a tune up. Check out my previous posts to see all the maintenance things I've been doing lately. Good luck!

Funny you say that because as I was on my way to pick up the car, my wife and I had to stop for gas. A punk teenager rolls up in his new camaro...hat on sideways and blasting his "music"; basically begging people to notice him.

Needless to say, it confirmed my decision to buy the Z!

When I see sideways hats I roll my eyes. When my dad sees sidways hats he rants and raves and curses about society, kids, parents, etc. Cracks me up.

i actually considered the camaro ss when i picked up my z4m, but after just sitting inside the camaro i immediately told myself it was off my list.

When I see hats/clothes with stickers on I think people are too cheap and probably returning the shit they should have been able to afford in the first place.

Congrats! Camaro's were pretty neat and desirable when they first came out after those transformer movies----then you see all the rednecks driving them....
