Spacers, are they all you really need?

So if you take the following description from H & R at face value:

"If you’ve ever seen a sleek, European sedan with that oh-so-low street stance and a bulging wheel/tire combo that fits perfectly in the wheel wells, chances are that car was fitted with H&R TRAK+® Wheel Spacers. TRAK+® Wheel Spacers make your existing tires and wheels appear wider by moving the wheel out from the hub, providing both performance and appearance improvements. Whether you want improved handling, increased safety, or simply desire your car to make a statement about your individual style, TRAK+® Wheel Spacers can help you accomplish your goal and GO WIDE®.

H&R TRAK+® feature a hubcentric design that makes the spacer act as a precise extension of the axle hub which guarantees a perfect wheel fit every time."

then really all you would need would be trak spacers to give your vehicle the look that many seem to aim for through both wheel changes and suspension changes.

Has anyone done JUST spacers and been happy with the result?

Spacers typically add more weight than if you were to go with a lower offset wheel.

Only reason I have 5mm spacers is because I rub in the rear with my autox/track tires.

I run spacers for street but not track.
FWIW there are FAR better & lighter spacers available than H&R

If you search to site for 'spacers'... you will find far more information than you will ever need.
