Are there any issues that arise when a car gets a new paint job (say, from a good shop)?

Some of the colors (Interlagos Blue for example) are more difficult to match, but a good shop should be fine. Only thing to keep in mind is letting the paint cure for 30-45 days before you wax it.

Also, try to find a shop that uses Spies Hecker, Glasurit, or Standox paints, which are required by BMW's certification criteria: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/att...8&d=1215098004
