Z4 OEM Part Out -- Southern California

Hey Guys,
I'm a newb to the forum, but first I'd like to send my greetings. I am not a Z4 owner, nor have I ever owned one. Recently (4/7/10) I took out my father's '08 Z4 for a spin on some local winding roads and flipped the car multiple times after launching diagonally off an embankment on the entrance to an S-turn. I managed to knock over a telephone pole and damage the car on all sides. However, there are still some good parts attached to the chassis of the vehicle and I am looking for anyone interested in what I have now a heap of glass, metal and plastic lying in my driveway. My father is making it my responsibility to get rid of any parts anyone else may want/need, and I am willing to negotiate reasonable prices on any parts coming off the car.

Looks like the passenger compartment held up very well considering the severity of the crash. It's fortunate that you were not injured. Someday when you are spending your own money to pay for cars you might have a little more common sense, or maybe not. Some people are just very dense. My compliments to your dad for handling the incident in such a non judgmental manner. I don't think I could do that.

Yes. It took me about 5 minutes to compose myself enough to write a response.

I am interested in the towing eye, wheel locks and key if you have them, and shift knob if it's a manual and in good condition. I noticed the driver's side mirror isn't there, and I'd assume it's shattered... but in the rare chance that it somehow detached itself unscathed I'd be interested in that too.

Did the car have regular seats or M sport seats, and what color?

Edit: The condition of the mirror glass is all I care about. My driver's side autodimming mirror leaked out everywhere, so I just need usable glass.

Won't work. The headlight module is VIN specific. Put one that's asigned to a different VIN in your car, and the mileage tampering light on the instrument cluster will come on.

Okay, I'll know by this weekend if the manual seats in the coupe can be adjusted lower. If it can't, maybe I can contact the person who bought your seats and see if I can buy his/her seat-base?

My dad decided to put the seats in his X3, and the X3 seats are still sitting in the driveway. If you would like the rails, I'm pretty sure they're universal for all BMWs at least of this body style era.

Forgive me for the short responses, but its my birthday tomorrow. I'm going to be celebrating over the weekend, but next week I'll be getting to all of you.

I know the airbag was delployed, but how much for whats left of the steering wheel?
