aFe intake? Got one or tried it? Worth the price?
Just looking for more bolt ons to put on the car...
I already got the Dinan Exhaust and figured an intake would go nice too. Any thoughts on the best bang for buck intake out there? aFe seems like a good one? they claim 11hp and 14lb ft of torque gain. Dinan seems overpriced as usual but would be twice the price if not triple for similar claimed gains. |

I wouldn't get too hyped up on reported HP/TQ gains. Intake/exhaust are more for sound then they are for actual power. The gains will be minimal if any and probably unnoticeable unless you actually dynoed your car. I'd say pick whichever sounds the best.

X2..An intake is equivalent to a performance filter, not much gain at all but piece of mind..

I have the AFE intake and a Magnaflow muffler. I like the sound! The intake is a little loud but isn't it the point of having one besides the gains if any. It felt snappier after the intake instal!

My brief research on the subject has come to the conclusion that there are no aftermarket kits that are better for the engine than the stock air box. (sadly.)
I just dropped in a K&N high-flow and called it a day. |
