WOW! Amazing job! I wish I had the patience to do something like this on my own, I would love to save myself $225 over the cost of the Roadster Solutions screen and put the money I would save towards some other mods. I actually like the aluminum mounting pieces on the DIY screen better than the thick rubber/plastic ones on the Roadster Solutions version, I could directionally scuff them with some 100 grit and they would match the aluminum trim in my car.

...should I give it a shot or not?

What are the odds you still have your template?

If I had a copy, I could take that to a local shop and have them cut me a piece of lexan and I could do the rest...

Or, if you would be willing to trace your current deflector on paper, cardboard, etc., that would work.

I could paypal you for your efforts!

A template is a great idea. I'd be willing to pay for one as well.

Just to keep the idea alive, I'd pay for a template as well. Nice job

I just recently picked up my Z4 and will have to make one of these...
But I'll probably take it a step further and make it light up. =)

Going to revive this old post...I am thinking about making the windscreen this weekend, any suggestions on how to ensure the top curve is symmetrical?

Sorry I missed his post. The best suggestion I have is to use paper templates. Once you get one side of the curve how you want it, flip the paper and trace it again so both sides are the same.

I wonder if it is possible to have the template? I am willing to pay for and the shipping.
