WTB: Z4M front strut assemblies
Looking for a complete front strut assembly pair for an experiment. Ideally near Washington, DC, but happy to pay for reasonable shipping.

Have two sets, one set ~45k, nicely firm. Second set ~80k miles, softer than the others, including a pair of upper mounts, fine for experimenting.
If you're looking to experiment for a Koni conversion, the detachable spring perch doesn't let the conversion work. Use E36 M strut tubes instead. Modify upper strut mount to allow for the shorter threads on the E36 style Koni insert: a. cut 10mm off the bottom with a cutting wheel or similar b. cut the square rubber nubs off the top of the rubber bushing.
