the power gain is very noticeable. Rpi claims around 7 whp gain from the exhaust and i believe it. The weight loss you get from stock is also a nice plus. The stock exhaust is very heavy. This is a video i made 2 nights after i put the exhaust on, im in second gear in the park avenue tunnel with the top down.
. i wish the video was longer but its a short tunnel in the middle of manhattan. i hope this helps.

How much lighter is the RPI exhaust then stock? I see you're in Phoenix. Any way I could hear yours? My old STi had a very nice, light Buschur Racing turboback, but it was LOUD. I wish I had gotten it with the "quiet" muffler rather than the "normal" muffler, but I bought the system based only on the weight.

Took 3 days.....to Missouri. Isnt EaS in Cali? RE's shipping was cheap too. I know I ordered some wheels from there and it took like 2 months(backordered, not eAs's fault) so I canceled and got the exhaust instead.

BMS is no longer around but if you can pick up their exhaust used I certainly recommend it. Back in 07 when they were developing it the owner said that their dyno testing showed the power increase came from the X pipe, not the mufflers. So if you buy mufflers only, you are getting weight savings and a better sound, but probably not much more power (unless you have other mods like headers).

I had a RE El Diablo on my E46 M3 and was totally satisfied with it. If their Z4M exhaust is as well made, I think anyone would be quite happy with it.

Is it cheaper to buy from EAS rather than RE directly?
