I would definitely consider buying a good looking, functional, somewhat easily installed rear diffuser made out of high temperature plastic, under 400 bucks.

You guys realise the M cars already have a wind tunnel proven rear diffuser already installed on the car, right?

id like to see an alloy coolant header tank with sight glass and Temperature reading coolant cap :-) would be nice if we could get alittle more capacity out of it as well, the plastic unit does not fill me with confidence especially when you hammer it all day on the track and it starts to look like its going to blow up!!! lol

I'll add to the list some kind of shift light. I miss that from the E92, would be nice to have on the track as you can see if using peripheral vision. Even better if it could indicate low and high rev ranges.

Some thoughts and just insight/feedback on suspension tuning, wheels, offsets, etc. of the Z4M and sharing of that knowledge would probably be invaluable.

Not sure about a carbon fiber door. The empty door shell only weighs 30 lbs, not much to save there side to side. The internals, fittings, and trim are what add up.

Strut brace from Rogue is just nearing completion, and Rogue is also on deck for FCABs. That may not be the best place to put resources, and folks here have already asked Rogue to work on them.

DarkSchnitzer may also have the brake ducts coming on line based on his post above and elsewhere, not sure if there is an ETA though. Ducts would be fantastic, no matter who does them!

Yes. The plugs are done and the mold is almost done for them. They are a direct bolt-in replacement from the stock plastic units....just in CF and visible weave.

I would like to see a valve shim set released that has half steps of .02mm in it. Depending on a particular engine the closest you can get some valves is .03mm of gap while others are perfect with .01mm gap. Ok so even .03 is within spec for these engines but if you are working every possible angle of performace there is a gap here, pun intended.

What would that get you, maybe 5hp max?

It would be relative to your performance additions.

Your cam would come in sooner with a greater peak lift. Granted it is not by much each valve .02mm but at .04mm per cylinder or .24mm over 6 cylinders in adds up pretty quick then. With both intake and exhaust valves ~.48mm volume throughput overall that you would be gaining. Not to mention minor tweaking of timing etc that would result.

So why would you not want your 5hp on a stock motor? That will be a much greater number on a stage 1 or 2 car that has some real volume to move. Not to mention that it is really easy to do a valve job.

People out there port heads right? Just to get some flow improvements without increasing volume and they are gaining power. How about port matching exhaust/intake manifolds? If every little bit adds power here is a little bit more we can gain with just a tiny spacer.

Or how about a crazy senario,
You have the new stage 3 ESS kit and you are making 620rwhp, that is 103hp per cylinder. Say you have one cylinder both valves min spec .02mm and 1 cylinder max spec both valves .10mm. You are self tuning your kit trying to tweak everything you can get out of it and you are still using the two sensor wide band 02 system so it is working off averages for your fuel map, timing etc so know how much power is that costing you for that lax cylinder? Theoretically that could be the differance of dropping a cylinder due to a lean or other adverse condition.

I found a universal diffuser made out of aluminum on ebay for about $100. Decided to try it out and see if I like it.

I've had it on for 2 days and so far I've been getting ground clearance issues.

I would be interested in a set of direct bolt on Z4M upgraded sway bars. Also FCAB's and other bushings. I also personally would like it if somebody make a set of neoprene engine mounts since i would like something between rubber and poly

@L4zy,

Thats the kind of look I want! With those aggressive fins in the middle!

The AC one is sick but lacking the fins!

Maybe front canards.

I used to have the Bimmerworld canards on my E46 M3, it was expensive for the quality you got... But it was a nice upgrade with the splitter.

Does anyone make an aluminum front underpanel for Z4 M? I always thought I'd get the JT-Designs underpanel when I had my E36, but never got around to it. In the mean time, I'll see if autocross cones are friendlier to Z4 M plastic.
