Pretty sure minimum width for a 275 is 9" wide. 107s are 8.5 in the back.

so, what do you think? 255 40 18 maybe?265 35 18? 255 35 18? i really dont know much about this
people claim to use 275s on z4m rear wheels which are 9" so i guess i can use 265s right?
still, dont know much about this. thank you for your help

i think tire rack has a tire configurator...that can tell you what you want to know...but i do know 275 width will not fit 8 or 8.5 wide rim..you gotta have at least 9

according to tire rack the oem tire size for the rears is 255 35 18 so i guess 265 35 18 should be ok, please id appreciate if someone can confirm this

Garage List
i'd stick with 255 since it keeps ride height even with the fronts and it is the recommended width for a 8.5. 8.5 really isn't that wide so don't see why you'd want to go with wider tires. i know you even can run a 225 on a 8.5... 265 just seems like more weight than necessary too.

I just added a set of 265/35/18s to the rear and I like how it filled in the wheel well.

so it is doable then, how do you feel the ride? can you share some pics? thanks guys youve all been very kind taking the time to help a fellow member
edit: i want bigger tires because of the grip and the looks, also because where i live there are very nasty punchholes so haveng wider tires may help when you are facing bumps on a daily basis

Either a 10mm or 15mm will help push it out to where it looks close to flush with the fender. I'm running a set of 197s with a 35 offset, with 265s. I'm very pleased with how it looks
