Service after winter
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I just got my '06 M Roadster out after the winter. Its at 42,000 kms right now, and the service reminder is showing about 2000km till the next "INSPECTION". I intend to have a reputable shop in Toronto do the work (along side some other things), but my general question is how critical is timing? Ie: is it OK to wait a month or so before I get the oil changed, or should I get it done ASAP? The car wasn't driven in the winter, and it had an oil change last spring, with about 6000kms (3728 miles) driven since then. I ask because I need to schedule a few things together and it may not happen until until June or so. |

It's not the end of the world to wait a little longer. So long as you aren't putting the car through any hard work (i.e. track days or other competitive driving). Under normal conditions you'll be fine.

OK, that's what I was hoping to hear. I intend to get the Inspection I done with the valve adjustment, but they need to keep the car overnight, so I need to find a date that works for that sort of thing (and its looking like mid June at the moment).
