AC Schnitzer Type III's

(Attached picture is just for reference I'm not sure who's car it is but those are type III's on a Z4........ so )

Just found a set of 19" AC Schnitzer Type III's that have been refurbed to anthracite so they look really nice. They are apparently original AC wheel and not copies. 19x8.5 et 43 front and 19x9.5 et 22 rears. Front would need a spacer. Tires are front 235/35/19 and rear 275/30/19. I believe originally this set was run on a E46 M3. Tires are RE760's with about 5000 km on them.

I'm pretty interested but AC is one the more ripped off wheels by the knock-off companies. The guy is claiming that they are original and wants good money for them. But how can I tell if real or fake AC's? AC's are also massively over-priced according to the internet trolls versus the quality of the product. So I'm sitting on the fence. Thing is I think they would look pretty sweet on my red roadster. But I don't want to be bent over the proverbial fence post on this deal. Asking price is $2200 with rubber and a fresh refurb on the paint.

Ask if there are any stampings on the back of the wheel. Some manufacturers will stamp their brand name on there, some don't. All have unique stamps though so worst case scenario, assuming there is no AC stamp, you can send the photos to ACS and they should be able to confirm for you whether they are authentic or not.

Lovely looking wheels by the way!
