2007 Z43.0Si dtc button not doing anything

Hello everyone, I just got a new to me 2007 Z4 3.0si and the DTC button doesn't do anything. I have done doughnuts in the rain and I can peel the tyres for as long as I want with no intervention of the DTC or DSC systems. No lights are on and there is no sign that something is wrong. Any ideas of what could be the problem?
I hope you guys can help me.
Thank you

When you start your car, the DTC/DCS systems should be active; when you push the button it turns them off and wheel spin can occur (the DTC light will come on indicating the system is off). If you are having wheel spin without pressing the button there is something wrong.

Probably a dealer type issue. I would assume you need a code reader. When my DTC works it is obvious as the light flashes on my dash and you feel it working.

My 3.0SI is a 2006 automatic. With DTC in the default mode (i.e., operating), its just not possible to spin the tires appreciably, even if from a dead start with Sport mode engaged. So I agree that something is definitely wrong. Unfortunately I don't know what the issue is. But as ChickDr advises, get a code reader or head to a dealer.

Does anyone knows what code reader I can get? I have an OBDII Bluetooth reader but I can't find a good software for the phone that will do more than just reading the codes. BTW. I have no codes showing in the computer. The car is clean.
